Resist the devil

Satan became so real to Martin Luther he once threw an inkwell at the devil. Jesus said Satan was a murderer and a liar; societal hatred and postmodern denial of truth both reveal he is indeed alive and well on planet earth!

Satan wants to destroy self acceptance, relationships, social stucture-and our souls! No wonder James said to “resist the devil” so he would “flee.” By turning back Satan’s temptations with Scriptures (Matthew 4). Jesus revealed how we frustrate the devil’s power.
