Family Fun Fair
We had over 400 present, with many from the community. The inflatable attractions were the most enjoyed, with enough for all ages--preschool, children, and youth! The games were attractive and well-run, the food line was efficient and friendly, the emcee and band were top-notch, there was plenty of quality candy, around 150 were always at the tables and chairs visiting and eating, the pies and chili were special treats, and the prayer and counseling booth ministered to many. One of our families with four kids said to thank all who helped; the family was able to bring guests who really enjoyed the evening. One lady (a guest) who received prayer at last year's event returned and told the booth volunteers the things she was concerned about then were going well now. Greater numbers of youth, college, and single adults were in attendance this year, and plenty of seniors supported the evening. Mona McDonald, our Family Ministry Director, had a great team of leaders who have almost perfected the organizational process, from set-up to take-down. Thanks for praying for the evening of Christian fellowship, testimony, and fun!

Set Free Baptist Fellowship
Set Free Baptist Fellowship is a Phoenix inner city ministry to former male addicts of all kinds. it accepts the men, puts them through a sobriety program, houses them until they can mainstream back into society and provides them with spiritual challenge, ministry opportunities and training of all kids along the way. Ron Goodnight taught a series of Monday night classes there recently. Charlie Smith's intergenerational Bible Study group recently bought shirts for 40 men as a project. Our whole church gave over $12, 000 through the August offering to go towards Set Free purchasing their property.

The yard sale benefiting the Italy Mission trip raised over $1600!
03/10/2007 At least 33 of our folks participated in the 3rd Kingdom Project, assisting Tempe & Scottsdale senior adults with mandatory yard clean-up, painting and landscaping. About half of the group were of junior and senior high age. This group willingly offered to help another home unscheduled for participation because they had enough present to do so!

Our Missions Committee is making a generous contribution, as well. Others may give toward this trip by marking checks or contribution envelopes "Italy," making checks out to FSBCS. Their costs will run around $14,000, so they will be paying or raising much on their own, as well.
